How to twink level 19 rogues, hunters, and priests

First of all, I am getting annoyed with all of the sites claiming to have level 19 twink information and its all outdated or posted by some 8 year old boy..... So here is the REAL twink guide. Not for the feint-of-heart. I have done countless days of research and years of playing twinks trying to get any edge on the Battlegrounds so this will be a very in-depth guide.

First I am going to start off with a rogue. There are many different builds for a twink rogue, you can go swords, or daggers. There are many misconceptions about what is "best" it really has to do with your play style. for this reason I will post two different rogue builds, a survivability, and a dps. You can always mix and match for preference.

ROGUE

Helm- Lucky fishing hat, 43 Armor, +15 Stamina (obtained from fishing contest in stranglethorn vale, quest turn in from catching a Keefer's Angelfish)

Neck- Scout's Medallion (horde), or Sentinel's Medallion (Alliance) +6 Agility+2 Stamina (obtained from respecive WSG PVP vendors). *NOTE if you want pure stamina, there is a +3 stamina neck made from jewelcrafting called: Thick Bronze Necklace.

Shoulder- There is some debate on this item, there are many different items available with the new Heirloom shoulders introduced in WOTLK. I'll list them and i'll let you choose. For those of you who don't know.... the heirloom shoulders/items all scale with character level.

Serpent's Shoulders- +9 Agility. These are some excellent dps shoulders for either a hunter or rogue.( Obtained from "Lady Anacondra" in Wailing Caverns)

Talbar Mantle- +3 stamina +6 intellect. Although these are cloth and have intellect, they are the best stamina shoulders you will get short of heirloom items at level 19. (Obtained from the quest "In Nightmares". http://thottbot.com/q3369 for quest info).

Now for the heirloom shoulders. All of the heirloom items are either bought from the emblem of heroism vendor in Dalaran, or the vendor in Wintergrasp. The following are the names of the shoulders, I will update soon with the exact stats on each one as I do not have access to my information at the moment. The following are all leather.

Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders-

Preened Ironfeather Shoulders-

Lasting Feralheart Spaulders-

Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders-

Chest- There is some unbalanced gear between the two factions here. DPS-wise the alliance have a jump on us horde twinks.

Blackened Defias Armor- +4 Strength+3 Agility+11 Stamina (Both faction item, Obtained from Edwin VanCleef in Deadmines) Best hunter/rogue stam chest for level 19.

Tunic of Westfall- +11 Agility+5 Stamina (Alliance only, Obtained from quest "The Defias Brotherhood", starting at NPC"Gryan Stoutmantle") Best hunter/rogue dps chest for level 19.

Wrist- Forest Leather Bracers, +5 Agility (random world drop) Easily the best dps wrist, although they are level 19 greens.

Gloves- Gloves of the Fang- +5 Strength+6 Agility (obtained from "Druid of the fang" throughout wailing caverns)

Scouting Gloves of the Monkey- +4 Agility +4 stamina (random world drop) For more survivability, dropping alot of dps though.

Belt- Deviate Scale Belt +5 Agility+6 Stamina+3 Spirit (Obtained from leatherworking) These belts are great and sell on the ah for 5-10g. Probably the most inexpensive piece of gear you'll have :]

Girdle of the Blindwatcher+7 Stamina+8 Intellect (Obtained from "Odo the Blindwatcher" in SFK) Much less common belt, it does have one more stamina then the deviate scale belt but it looses so much more. this is more of a hunter piece, or druid/shaman

Legs- Leggings of the Fang +5 Strength+9 Agility+4 Stamina (Obtained from Lord Cobrahn in Wailing caverns) These are the best legs before enchants, due to armor kits though these take a back seat to BOE leggings.

Dark Leather Pants +8 Agility (Obtained from leatherworking) These are the pants of choice. any 60+ character can apply a +40 stamina and +12 agility armor kit to these making them the best for this level. There is also +ap/+crit armor kits available. I'll go further into armor kits/item enhancements later in the blog.

Feet- Feet of the Lynx+3 Strength+8 Agility (Random world drop) excellent dps boots.

Footpads of the Fang+6 Agility+6 Stamina (Obtained from Lord serpentis in Wailing Caverns)These boots give you a little more survivability while loosing a small amount of dps.

Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots +12 Stamina (Obtained from STV fishing tournament by catching Brownell's Blue Striped Racer) These boots own due to the fact they are item level 40! What that means to you is that ALL of the burning crusade enchants that require lvl 35 to be put on can actually be affixed to these boots. The lvl 35 requirement actually refers to the item level, Not the level of the character.

Weapons- I'm going to split this into two parts, daggers and swords.

Daggers- The two best in-game daggers for a level 19 twink rogue are the Assassin's blade, and the Scout's blade/ Sentinel's blade (depending on faction)

Assassin's Blade 15.5dps +3 Strength +4 Agility (Obtained from random drop in Shadowfang Keep)Keep a lookout for these on the Auction house, they usually sell for a premium 100-300g every once in a while you can find a good deal

Scout's blade/ Sentinel's blade 15.3 dps+4Agility +2 Stamina (Obtained from respective WSG quartermaster)

Swords-Cruel Barb 15.5 dps +12attack power (Obtained from edwin VanCleef) BOP, so hope he drops it, twelve attack power might not seem like much but consider that some of the most twinked out rogues have 220ap-240ap. This is going to be a strait dps sword, others have stamina and agility, but I'm just going to list this sword for now.

Throwing weapons- I've found the "Throat Piercers"+2 agility to be the best.(Obtained from "Eralan" in tranquillen) these are a limited supply and have a 3 hour respawn timer since the last time they are bought. so check often :]

Rings- This is an all preference area, depending on the build you are going with you will want to stack stamina, agility or other stats. I'll list the most common rings

Seal of Sylvanis +3Strength +8 Stamina (Obtained from a quest to kill Arugal in SFK, The quest starts in town just north of SFK.) Sorry Alliance, this one is horde only. This is the ring of rings for a level 19 twink. The quest is obtainable at lvl 18.

Legionnaire's band/Protector's band +4 Strength +4 Agility +2 Stamina (Obtained from respective WSG quartermasters) Very good dps ring, pretty cheap too,

Blood ring +5 Stamina (Random world drop) These are good survivability rings, especially since 1 stam = roughly 10 health.

Trinkets- Now there is a huge array of trinkets for lvl 19 twinks, more than you may even think. I'm going to go over the ones I have found to be the most useful in the BG's

There are various "insignia's of the alliance/horde" an heirloom one that has resilience on it, and the normal one from the pvp vendor in your factions major city. What these do is remove a "movement imparing effect"or an effect that causes loss of control of your character such as fear, or sleep. These aren't a must for the Bg's but they sure are nice :]

The most absurd trinket for a lvl 19 rogue twink, or any 19 twink in general is the "Arena Grand Master" trinket, Equip: Increases your dodge rating by 12 (1.1% at 55).
Use: Absorbs 750 to 1250 damage. Lasts 20 sec. as you can see, when you use it, you will absorb almost a semi twink's health in damage over 20 seconds. I'm not going to go through the method of getting this because it is too lengthly, but check thottbot or another WoW database for info.

There is also a haste heirloom trinket(Swift Hand of Justice), at lvl 19 will give you +6 haste rating, not sure it's worth the 2.xx percent increase in cast speed considering it costs 50x emblems of heroism. but hey, if you're like me and you're playing your twinks because You have destroyed all the 25 man content currently available in WOTLK with 2+ chars, the emblems are to laugh at.

I'm sure there is stuff I missed but I'm always open for criticism/more info.

HUNTER

Helm- Lucky fishing hat, 43 Armor, +15 Stamina (obtained from fishing contest in stranglethorn vale, quest turn in from catching a Keefer's Angelfish)

Neck- Scout's Medallion (horde), or Sentinel's Medallion (Alliance) +6 Agility+2 Stamina (obtained from respecive WSG PVP vendors). *NOTE if you want pure stamina, there is a +3 stamina neck made from jewelcrafting called: Thick Bronze Necklace.

Girdle of the Blindwatcher+7 Stamina+8 Intellect (Obtained from "Odo the Blindwatcher" in SFK) Much less common belt, this is a hunter piece, or druid/shaman. I prefer this over the deviate scale belt due to the fact that I only die when I run out of mana on my hunter, and this belt gives you a bit more mana to play with... roughly 80-90 more mana.

The lvl 35 requirement actually refers to the item level, Not the level of the character.

Weapons- What I have found to be best for a hunter is the staff:

"Twisted Chanter's Staff" 20.6dps +6 Stamina+10 Intellect. This staff has good amounts of stamina and int on it which are 2/3 of the things a twink hunter should be stacking. throw on a +25 agility enchant and it's the whole deal :] with this staff and the items mentioned above you should be able to thow down 150 white damage melee, and crit for ~250.

Bow/Gun- Venomstrike Equip: Chance to strike your ranged target with a Venom Shot for 31 to 45 Nature damage. (Obtained from Lord Serpentis in Wailing caverns) This bow with a +3 damage scope. You must get the scope applied through a trade window by an engineer that is level 20+. but the bow in the "not traded" section and have the engineer attach it.

Rings- This is an all preference area, depending on the build you are going with you will want to stack stamina, agility or other stats. I'll list the most common rings

Blood ring +5 Stamina (Random world drop) These are good survivability rings, especially since 1 stam = roughly 10 health.

Lavishly Jeweled Ring +6 intellect +2 Critical strike rating (Obtained from Gilnid in the deadmines) This ring used to be +2 spell crit rating but after the patch when everything went to strait spell power, and strait crit rating, not melee or spell dependent, this has become a viable option for non- caster classes who use mana, such as hunters or paladins.

Trinkets- Now there is a huge array of trinkets for lvl 19 twinks, more than you may even think. I'm going to go over the ones I have found to be the most useful in the BG's

And Last but definitely not least.........

PRIEST

Helm- Lucky fishing hat, 43 Armor, +15 Stamina (obtained from fishing contest in stranglethorn vale, quest turn in from catching a Keefer's Angelfish)

Neck- Thick Bronze Necklace +3 stamina (obtained from jewelcrafting)

Shoulder- There is some debate on this item, there are many different items available with the new Heirloom shoulders introduced in WOTLK. I'll list them and i'll let you choose. For those of you who don't know.... the heirloom shoulders/items all scale with character level.

Heirloom shoulders, as I mentioned before I don't have the stat info for these at the moment. this will be updated ASAP.

Exquisite Sunderseer Mantle-

Tattered Dreadmist Mantle-

Chest- Tree Bark Jacket+6 Stamina+10 Intellect (Random drop in BFD) very expensive but worth every penny.

Inferno Robe + 19 Spellpower (obtained from quest "WANTED: Baron Vardus" quest is obtainable at lvl 19.) Yet again, Horde only item. 19 spell power chest is absurd, but what is even more out of control is the fact it has an item level of 40! yes, you can put BC enchants with a lvl 35 req on this item as well.

Wrist- Mindthrust Bracers -5 Stamina +9 Intellect (Random SFK drop) No, it's not a typo. These take away 5 stamina. The increase in mana is more than enough to compensate I think.

Bright Bracers +4 Intellect (random world drop) If you don't want to take the stamina hit, use something like these instead.

Gloves- Serpent Gloves +6 intellect +7 spellpower (Obtained from Lord Serpentis in Wailing Caverns) These things have tons of intellect and spell power to boot!

Waist- Keller's Girdle +3 Stamina +8 intellect (Random World drop) A caster's dream :]

Legs- Darkweave Breeches +4 Stamina+7 Intellect+6 Spirit (Random World drop) BOE, so spell thread can be applied, yes please! add a +35 Spell power + 20 Stamina thread to these.

Feet- Sanguine Sandals +4 Intellect +4 Stamina (Random world Drop) Boots of choice until you get the ones from the STV fishing contest.

The lvl 35 requirement actually refers to the item level, Not the level of the character

Weapons-

"Twisted Chanter's Staff" 20.6dps +6 Stamina+10 Intellect. This staff has good amounts of stamina and int on it. Throw on a +30 spellpower enchant to finish.

There is also the staff from the WSG quartermaster, it is a much cheaper alternative if money is an issue.

there is also a very uncommon dagger/offhand combination for caster's that is horde only alliance could substitute in another weapon in place of dawnblade though.

Dawnblade(dagger) 13.8dps +5 Stamina (Obtained from quest "The traitor's Destruction")*Horde only*

Furbolg Medicine Pouch +10 stamina (Obtained from Furblog rep) This is a pain to get.

Wand- Yes there is a severe twink wand out there, it is from a quest that starts in BFD. roughly 6500xp in all the parts, not including the instance run.

Here's the beast "Gravestone Scepter" 29.0 dps, +1 spirit +5 shadow resistance. Most other wands at this level are 18dps max.

Rings-Highly dependant upon your preference, whether you want spell power, intellect or stamina.

Lavishly Jeweled Ring +6 intellect +2 Critical strike rating (Obtained from Gilnid in the deadmines) great for your mana pool.

Advisor's Ring/Lorekeeper's Ring +2 Stamina +5 spellpower +2MP5 (Obtainable from respective WSG quartermasters)

Blood ring +5 stamina (Random world drop)

Trinkets- All of the trinkets I could think of are mentioned above at least twice. Although there is also an heirloom trinket that at lvl 19 adds 5-6 spellpower.

That is it for now...... Tomorrow I will add all of the enchants/ item enhancements you could ever want! Hopefully this helps you in your twinking endeavors. Goodluck, CF
